Category Activity Report

The Category Activity Report shows a month-by-month breakdown of how many units of each product sold within one or more categories. Each row is a product, each column is a month, and each cell is the quantity sold — with totals per month, per product, and a daily average.

It's ideal for tracking activity-style categories over time, such as range fees, rentals, classes, or memberships — anywhere you want to see "how many of these did we do each month?"

Running the Report​

  1. Go to Report > Category Activity Report.
  2. Select one or more Categories to include.
  3. Choose a Start Date and End Date (defaults to year-to-date).
  4. Optionally enable Member / Non-member Split (see below).
  5. Click Generate.

What You'll See​

  • One row per product in the selected categories
  • One column per month in the selected date range
  • Total — total quantity sold per product across the whole period
  • Avg/Day — the product's total divided by the number of days in the period
  • A Total row at the bottom summing each month and the grand total

Products that have been deleted but sold during the period are still included, so historical totals stay accurate.

Member / Non-member Split​

Turn on the Member Split toggle to break each cell into member vs non-member quantities. A sale counts as a member sale when a member is attached to the transaction at checkout.

  • On screen, each cell shows the total with a smaller member / non-member line underneath.
  • In the CSV export, each product gets three rows: Total, Member, and Non-member.

Printing and Exporting​

  • Print — prints just the report table, formatted for paper.
  • Download CSV — exports the full matrix (including the split rows if enabled) for use in Excel or Google Sheets.

Tips​

  • For a gun range: put your lane fees, guest fees, and rental items in a dedicated category, then run this report to replicate a yearly range-usage tally in one click.
  • Compare the same months across different years by running the report per year and exporting to CSV.
  • Use Avg/Day to compare products fairly across periods of different lengths.
