Safety Briefing

When your gym requires a range safety briefing (turned on in ManageMemberships), the register warns you about members who haven't had it and prints the ticket they use to check out of the briefing.

At the Counter

When you select a member who still needs the briefing, the POS shows:

⚠ NEEDS SAFETY BRIEFING · Print briefing ticket

The same warning appears next to their name in the range calendar's member search, and in Account Check, which has its own Print briefing ticket link. On the Checked In list, anyone who still owes the briefing has a Print briefing ticket button too.

  1. Click Print briefing ticket.
  2. The register adds them to the safety briefing queue and prints a ticket with a QR code:
    • on the register's Star TSP100 printer, if one is set up (see Cash Register);
    • otherwise, a printable ticket opens in a new window.
  3. Hand them the ticket. Printing again gives the same ticket.

After the Briefing

The employee running the briefing unlocks the briefing kiosk with their own code. Each attendee scans their ticket on the way out. That marks the briefing complete in ManageMemberships and puts them on the RSO's Firing Line board. If the ticket was printed for someone in a party on the Checked In list, they join the board with their party. The register picks up the finished briefing the next time you open the Checked In list, or the next time you search for the member.

Setting up the kiosk and employee codes is done in ManageMemberships. See the ManageMemberships help: Safety Briefing.

Tips

  • The ticket button only works for members with a ManageMemberships account. Quick-added members need to finish registering first.
  • To clear the warning without a briefing (e.g. a regular), a manager can mark it complete on the member's page in ManageMemberships.
